The first round of Qatar 2022 world cup has come to an end which will give coaches to assess their performance in the first match.

Historically now, Qatar became the first country in the history of World Cup to lose opening match as host country.

From the goal statistics of the first round, it showed that 35 players scored 41 goals so far while 6 of them score brace.

Among players that recorded brace in their first game were; Enner Valencia, Ecuador, Mehdi Terami, Iran, Bukayo Saka, England, Olivier Giroud, France, Ferran Torres, Spain and Richarlison, Brazil.

The shocking results that beat predictions of many sport pundits were Argentina’s defeat by Saudi Arabia and defeat recorded by Germany, no thanks to Japan for that.

So far so good, no own goal, no red card and no free kick goal in the Qatar 2022 World Cup first round.

Reverse might be the case as countries prepare for second match to build on success of match or turn around their poor performance.

Germany and Argentina will play their next match with strong determination to get good results.

Three African teams out of five representative recorded defeat, Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana while two recorded draw; Morocco and Tunisia
